City of Naples Airport and the Naples Wine Festival
September 25th, 2007 12:44 AM

Naples General Aviation Airport

The Naples Municipal Airport should expect record breaking flight arrivals and departures on January 24-27, 2008.  Private aircraft from all over the world will be arriving for the Naples Winter Wine Festival.  This event is the most exclusive, prestigious and successful charity wine events in the world and has raised more than 55 million for the Naples Children and Education Foundation.  One of the founding sponsors, the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort is the location for the wine auction from 11am to 5pm on Saturday.  A Wine-Down Party will be held downtown Naples after the auction.  Sunday brunch again will be at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort.  Please don't be confused, we have two.  The Ritz-Carlton, Naples has three miles of beach with sunset views of the Gulf of Mexico and was listed by the Robb Report as one of the "100 Best Places to Stay in 2006."

The Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers is a short 45 minute drive to downtown Naples.  The International Airport has served more than 7.6 million passengers in 2006 and nearly 5.3 million passengers have traveled to and from the airport this year.  They are celebrating twelve consecutive months of record-breaking passenger traffic and are among the top 50 busiest U. S. airports.

If you haven't discovered Naples yet, put it on the "Must Do" list.

Another supermarket comes to town in Naples!
September 20th, 2007 1:08 PM

Sweetbay Supermarket will be opening soon and offers yet another choice for where to shop for groceries around the city of Naples.  Magnolia Square is located on the the northeast corner of Pine Ridge Road and Goodlette Frank Road, that's 4.5 miles or 9 minutes to Fifth Ave S. in downtown Naples.  For years I have shopped at the Neapolitan Publix in Park Shore.  Publix Supermarket is also in the Naples Shopping Plaza in The Moorings.  Wynn's is locally owned and located on 9th St. N (US 41) just south of Central Ave. in Olde Naples.  The Fresh Market in Park Shore between Neapolitan and Park Shore on US 41 offers another fine food shopping experience.  Sorry Bernie, No Dogs allowed!  He gets to GO to the Pet Supermarket in Park Shore.

Patriot Day is Tuesday, September 11th here in the USA
September 6th, 2007 11:08 PM

Alice's Palm and American Flag

A Patriot is a person who loves, supports and defends his country.  Forever more, September 11th is Patriot Day in the USA.  Thank you to all the service men and women who make it possible to enjoy our freedom in this beautiful country.  I remember singing, "Freedom isn't free" at Eastlawn Elementary in Indiana.  Years later, I understand the price others have paid for my freedom.  Let us never forget.

The Freedom Memorial, soon to be built in Naples, Florida will pay tribute to the members of our Armed Forces who have sacrificed their lives to preserve our freedom and to honor law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency personnel and civilians who perished during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.  If you would like to contribute to commemorative Freedom Memorial brick fund, click here.  You will be directed to a PDF. document which you may print, complete and mail.

If you wish to view the Freedom Memorial video, turn on your computer speakers, turn off our website music by selecting the music icon at the top rights, then click here.

"FREEDOM ISN'T FREE, FREEDOM ISN'T FREE"

Gordon Drive and 33rd Ave S Beach

This picture today is of the sunset on the Gulf of Mexico at the Gordon Drive and 33rd Avenue South Beach in Port Royal, Naples Florida.  The City of Naples offers beach access for residents with beach stickers and visitors with coin meters.  Access to the beach from many of the avenues in Olde Naples helps to make Naples unique and unlike other southwest Florida destinations.  Learn more about why Naples, Florida is a great place to visit and a better place to live at http://www.KingdomProperty.Net/City-of-Naples

Labor Day Arts & Crafts Festival Downtown Naples
September 1st, 2007 9:14 PM

Today was a beautiful day on Fifth Avenue South in Naples, Florida for the Labor Day Arts and Craft Festival.  The festival continues tomorrow, Sunday, Sept.2, 2007 from 10am to 5pm.  Come early, it started to rain today at 3pm.  A common theme we noticed today among the artists and their crafted signs..., "If you're lucky enough to live here, you're lucky enough."

The next event to be held on Fifth Avenue will be on September 13, 2007.  This "Evening on Fifth" is called "Girls Night Out" starting at 6:30pm.  A variety of entertainment including some ALL GIRL bands will be featured all along Fifth Avenue South, Naples' Main Street.  Enjoy music, shopping and dining on a world-class street.  Alice Miller and Cathy Miller, REALTORS® will be providing their "Interactive Naples Property Search" with Amerivest Realty.  Come and see all the listings via the big screen with Google Earth.  Visit us anytime at www.KingdomProperty.Net.
